6 puck ceramic clutch life expectancy?
does anyone have an idea on 6 puck/pad ceramic clutch life expectancy?
it would be used on a daily driven GT35R 400hp 1999 cavalier z24 with 2.4l(LD9) twin cam/quad4
its not used for racing so no launches…just my daily driven toy.. i just want a clutch that wont slip when boost does come on,,,,
ive also heard for my car the Luk repset(organic disc) is way better than stock
It all depends on your driving. I replaced a stock LUK (organic) in a mustang at 130,000 and I could of gotten another 100,000 on it. I had to replace the throw out bearing though so it was best to do it all at this time. When putting the new and old clutch next to each other the old one looked just as good as the new one, just a little dirty. The flywheel was not worn what so ever either. Ceramic is made to withstand heat, if your driving normal you will not have all the heat and in my opinion it will just cause excess wear on the flywheel.
