FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONSWhy are organic products more expensive? If you've tried to make healthy changes in your life by buying organic products, you may have noticed that many of them are more expensive than their more commercialized non-organic counterparts. One reason is that the systems needed to produce organic products, and especially certified organic products, are not as commonly used and therefore take greater lengths to implement. Farming, manufacturing, packaging, shipping, general sustainable practices at the company's offices are all elements that need to be altered from the norm to cater to the environment and consumers to produce an earth-friendly and health-friendly product. Organic farmers do not use chemicals and pesticides and therefore yield a smaller harvest. This increases the manual labor and therefore time needed for production, not to mention the added regulations to meet organic standards and produce a better quality item. The ingredients in ONE Group's certified organic products are pure and concentrated which means they last longer. For example, if you use 2 pumps from their Miessence facial moisturizer for each application, you will get 130 applications from one bottle. 2 pumps per application from a bottle of Miessence facial cleanser will yield 170 applications! In order to truly compare prices, you need to compare products that are equal in quality. Comparing a Miessence certified organic moisturizer to a more widely produced moisturizer without organic ingredients or certification is not a fair comparison. Plus, you get what you pay for! If you buy cheap shampoo, you're not buying quality. Some products only contain small amounts of toxins. Are they still a health hazard? Some research claims that despite the ubiquitous presence of toxins in many of the products we use each day, the amounts of toxins used are so small that they are not considered a health hazard. There are plenty of arguments from both perspectives and it is up to you to educate yourself about the ingredients of the products you buy and decide whether you believe they are safe or not. For more information see Toxins. Why isn't the Leaping Bunny logo displayed on ONE Group products?![]() Some consumers may think that if a company is going to the great lengths of being certified organic and proudly displaying the certification logos, why wouldn't it also display the Leaping Bunny logo showing that they do not test on animals. In this day and age, if a company is indeed going to the great lengths of being certified organic, not testing on animals should be a given. In addition, although the logo may prove that the company carrying the logo did not perform animal testing on that specified product that does not mean they may not still be using ingredients that were once tested on animals in the past by other companies. As explained on the website for Eco-Labels, the Consumer's Union Guide to Environmental Labels, "Ingredients may … have been tested on animals in the past, before the manufacturer adopted the label. Also, companies authorized to use the logo may in some cases produce products other than cosmetics, personal care products, or household products for which they conduct or commission animal testing." Therefore, the Leaping Bunny logo does not truly guarantee a 100% cruelty free product.
Although ONE Group's products are of course 100% cruelty free, it chooses not to display the Leaping Bunny logo.
